Abigail Rasminsky
Abigail Rasminsky,
a native of Montreal, Canada, grew up competiting internationally
in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She attended Oberlin College, where
she studied Dance, Theater and English Literature. Since
moving to New York in 2000, she has performed with Tamar
Rogoff, Sara Pearson/Patrik Widrig & CO, Patricia Hoffbauer,
Dusara Dance and Juliana F. May at La MaMa ETC, the Joyce
Theater, The Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, Danspace
Project, Wave Hill, the Cunningham Studies, and has toured
all over the North East and to Europe. She first worked with Loco7 in 2003, when she joined
the cast of 9
Windows on
tour in Poland and Italy. She then originated the role of
Izi's Mother in Bokan:
The Bad Hearted in 2004
at La MaMa. Along with performing, she now works as an editor
at Dance Spirit magazine and as a freelance writer. She is
a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher.
