DON QUIXOTE TAKES NEW YORK
Photos by Steven Pisano
Loco7 reimagines the timeless tale of Don Quixote with puppets, dance, and music, showcasing the power of hope and determination. This dynamic version proves that no dream is too impossible to achieve and that, with courage and heart, fear can be conquered.
In this reimagined journey, Don Quixote and his loyal friend Sancho Panza traverse the five boroughs of New York City. Their mission? To save the world from dark forces and protect Lady Liberty. As the audience follows Don Quixote through the streets of the city, they witness his unwavering quest for love, honor, liberty, and justice—for all.
Original production generously supported in part with public funds from Creative Engagement, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council; LMCC.net, The Puffin Foundation, The Jim Henson Foundation, The Yip Harburg Foundation, and Individual Donors.
